Hi,

it's been a long time without posting...

I've been flirting with kolab for a couple days and I finally have a semi functional installation.

I had a few problems first compiling and installing mod_auth_ldap and later getting the ldap book correctly initialized.

However there is one showstopper. The web admin interface, although acknowledges me correctly, whenever I submit anything new (view a different admin page, commit an action like adding a user or any other change) I am said I am not logged in, I must re enter the manager & pw, resulting in any change being lost.

I've started a thread on the official kolab forums
http://eforum.de/viewtopic.php?t=533

By the way, I see the base root of apache is /var/www/localhost and I've read elsewhere other Gentoo users have kolab under that tree, however I have mine on /var/www/kolab

I can access the admin as https://server/admin thanks to the alias included in the file /etc/apache2/vhosts.d/10_kolab.conf

Other than that I have not a single error or warning in my logs (besides one non harmful line which I describe in the above mentioned thread on kolab's forums).

Finally, what I cannot access is horde.
Horse resides on /usr/share/webapps/horde
Following the alias described in the same apache vhost.d conf file I mentioned earlier, I made a link to /var/www/kolab/horde to see if it worked but it didn't.
Where should it go 'according to the kolab structure within gentoo'?

Hi,

I hope that I solved this problem last week. Please resync your overlay and check if it works now.

In case your questions are specific to running Kolab on Gentoo, please do NOT request for any help on the official Kolab forum or the mailing lists. They do only support the OpenPKG distribution.

There is an alternative forum specific to Kolab/Gentoo here:

http://smf.gunnarwrobel.de

Cheers,

Gunnar
