I created a kdar archive that was sliced into 4 gig slices for burning onto a DVD.
But when I tried to burn with k3b it would burn because the slice was 4.6 gig.
Too large for a DVD.
What's up with that.
Anyone know another piece of software to compress & backup?
Maybe even burn at the same time.

If I recall correctly, the problem is that is9660 (the normal file system on dvds) can't handle files larger than 2 gig. So the slices need to be smaller, then burn multiple slices onto each dvd. I think you may be able to use a different file system on a dvd, but I have'nt tried it. _________________ Intellectual dishonesty is a mortal sin. |
