So, there are a bunch of ways to specify fonts, andI am getting confused about the various interactions. Here is one problem I'm having:
Gnome Terminal is using a font called "Courier 10 Pitch" at size "11". I want to try to figure out how to specify this font using the "-monotype-courier new-medium-r-normal--18-0-0-0-m-0-iso8859-1" specification. So far I haven't had any luck figuring out how this corresponds to a font I could pass to something like xfd or emacs.
I went into the Gnome Configuration editor, and found two keys that looked applicable:
1. x_font = -misc-fixed-medium-r-semicondensed--*-120-*-*-c-*-*-*
2. font = Courier 10 Pitch 11
So... does anyone have any insight into this? _________________ The name that can be named is not the eternal name. |
