|
|
Hi all.
I'm looking at colo for a mac mini, and with the core duos, I've got pretty high hopes for performance and stability. Has anyone else installed gentoo on one of these? Apparently they don't have a bios, they use EFI. It sounds like I could buy boot-camp, but I'm not worried about dual booting, and I'd rather just be clean of any macisms.
Anyone tried this? how's it look?

Try this.
It isn't Mac Mini specific, but it deals with the Macbook, which has a number of similar components. (If I remember correctly )
Oh, and I believe Bootcamp is free. (Would be interesting to see if you can create a linux install with it, boot into linux and delete the OS X install ) _________________ last.fm

I think bootcamp is $15. After the 1-bajillion spent on the mini itself, that's pretty much free. :-p
I'll report back, thanks. _________________ --
