Is it possible to watch QuckTime movie on Linux? Firefox prints "Additional plugins are required to display all the media on this page." "Install Missing Plugins..." button prints "No suitable plugins were found." The link at the bottom of the website points to this web page http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/ There is no link for Linux, only for MacOS X. I need to watch only one QuickTime file, is there at least converter to avi files? _________________ Just keep in mind they see everything you do. Believe me. I know. you can give a try to mplayerplug-in, it's a video plugin for web browser, works well for me...
simply do
Code: |
emerge mplayerplug-in -pv
|
then check if the USE flag quicktime is activated *
and then simply run
Code: |
emerge mplayerplug-in
|
and restart your browser
* not sure about this, true for mplayer but I don't have my gentoo now to check...
hope this'll help |

Any xine-lib based player reads quicktime as well. _________________ Desktop: AMD Athlon64 3800+ Venice Core, 2GB PC3200, 2x160GB 7200rpm Maxtor DiamondMax 10, 2x320GB WD 7200rpm Caviar RE, Nvidia 6600GT 256MB
