Hi:
I'm tyring to setup qmail with vpopmail and I seem to have run into some major problems
right now, i can use qmail-inject to send mail to myself locally and check it using 'mutt'
but when i check my mai lusing POP3, i get nothing (same with IMAP)
also, i cannot send myself e-mails externally
all servers are using SSL
I don't even know where to begin looking, can some kind knowledgable soul out there help me?
Thanks
Zhen

Can you elaborate on "get nothing". Do you get no mail, or can you not connect to check your mail? Does it return any error at all? Can you telnet to the port?

i get no emails
i can connect to the pop3 server fine (i'm using outlook 2003) but no e-mails are received
werid thing is, when i try to telnet in, i don't see anything
EDIT: When i enabled the pop3 server without SSL, i can telnet in fine
I have a feeling vpopmail is looking for the wrong place for email or something

Are you using .maildir?

First step is for you to know where they should be. Can you checke the filesystem to see if you can see the emails on the server? Check your configs or setup and see where the mail should be, then confirm if it is actually there.

A typical setup may have a /home/user/.maildir/new cur etc system, where your mail should be.

yes, i am using ,maildir, and /home/"person"/.maildir does exist, and i can check those e-mails using mutt
but i'm not sure how to specify which dir vpopmail should look in

EDIT: i just did a vuserinfo, and it looks like vpopmail is checking for emails in /var/vpopmail/domains/"domain"/"user"/.maildir/
help changing this would be greatly appreciated :D

your domain is probably added to the virtualdomains file, does
it work if you instead add it to the locals file?
