I have a Packard Bell FastMedia remote receiver, and I am trying to get it to work with lirc.
The device is not being recognized by any of the tools provided by lirc (mode2, irrecord, irw).
Running 'setserial /dev/ttyS1 uart none' doesn't seem to do anything useful.
The kernel had the serial drivers built in, so I recomiled with the serial driver as a module.
That installs three modules: serial_core, 8250_pnp, 8250.
I can rmmod 8250_pnp and serial_core, but rmmod 8250 responds with:
ERROR: Module 8250 is in use
