I can see and install the printer, nothing seems to be wrong, except that it just doesn't print (haha).
The last line of my /etc/cups/cupsd.conf says
Allow from 192.168.*
When I installed in WindowsXP, it seemed to go fine, I told it to use my root account on linux and also tried my account on linux. In the windows printer menu the printer shows up and holding mouse over it, it says Status: Ready
Any ideas? |

I'm not sure what you mean by that, but I found this in /etc/cups/cupsd.conf
#Classification: ... If set, this classification is displayed on all pages, and raw #printing is disabled. The default is the empty string
and there is nothing in between it and the next section. |

I also just tried uncommenting FIledevice = yes and nothing new happened.
I noticed though that when in WinXP and I click print test page, it hangs for a little bit, then brings up the printing test page window. Still nothing prints, though. |

I tried going into network neighborhood and clicking on my samba share today. I could see my shared folder and HPDeskJet. So I right clicked and hit connect on the printer. It went through and installed like normal using the windows drivers.
In the printers menu it shows the printer and says it is connected and ready to go. I go into properties and try to print a test page. It says "Test Page failed to print. Unable to create print job" |

Yeah ... but how did you set the printer up? You must have went though added the printer at some point. Take a look at the cups web admin tool http://localhost:631 |
