i have a ASUS PGDV5-Deluxe with an I915P chipset and a CMedia-9880 sound module, which obviously runs intel-hda.
my problem is, that no line-in or mic in or whatsover is working. in kmix and alsamixer they are all listed (the card has quite some jacks to try out),
however they are not working. i tried my usb headset, to make sure, that nothing with my sound settings is wrong, and i can hear it's mic and it works okay.
but for my tv-card i need a working line in to get some sound. it's running fine under windows ... (as usual for M$, media stuff works immediatly, networking stuff won't).
under windows i got a this Cmedia smartjack thingy, which lets me swap functions of the jacks i have, does something similar exsist for linux? |
