Hello, I would just like some help turning a freshly installed Gentoo into a web proxy that can be used by applications such as firefox.
I don't know much, but I'm in need of a faster, more reliable proxy to use while at school.

Just learn to use and configure squid. Fairly easy to learn.

"tinyproxy" is pretty easy to set up.

I too recommend tinyproxy. It's dead simple to set up. I've set up tinyproxy on one of my university shell accounts and run my wifi traffic to it, over a ssh connection. :)
