|

Hello!
I've just installed Openoffice 2.0.2-r2 with the -bin ebuild. The merge went fine (since I do not have to compile anything), but I cannot start it. It's the same for a normal user as for root. When I enter oobase2 for example (or any other prog) I receive:
Quote: | /usr/lib/openoffice/program/soffice: line 233: 17715 Speicherzugriffsfehler "$sd_prog/$sd_binary" "$@"
|
say memory access error.
I can assure your that my memory is ok from the hardware side (memtest ran 24 hours without error).
What might be the problem? A revdep-rebuild -p says:
Quote: | # revdep-rebuild -p
Configuring search environment for revdep-rebuild
Checking reverse dependencies...
Packages containing binaries and libraries broken by a package update
will be emerged.
Collecting system binaries and libraries... using existing /root/.revdep-rebuild.1_files.
Collecting complete LD_LIBRARY_PATH... using existing /root/.revdep-rebuild.2_ldpath.
Checking dynamic linking consistency... using existing /root/.revdep-rebuild.3_rebuild.
Assigning files to ebuilds... using existing /root/.revdep-rebuild.4_ebuilds.
Evaluating package order... using existing /root/.revdep-rebuild.5_order.
All prepared. Starting rebuild...
emerge --oneshot -p =app-office/openoffice-bin-2.0.2
These are the packages that would be merged, in order:
Calculating dependencies... done!
[ebuild R ] app-office/openoffice-bin-2.0.2
Now you can remove -p (or --pretend) from arguments and re-run revdep-rebuild.

although I have already rebuilt the package and even ran revdep-rebuild.
Thank you for your help in advance. _________________ * Toshiba SM30X Notebook, Pentium-M 725 CPU, ATI Radeon 9700, 512MB RAM, 80GB
