I don't know where to specify what the "From" data should be in my emails. I can't find it in the Mutt docs. I didn't see it in the Postfix docs. I thought I set in the procmail.rc.
I am using fetchmail/procmail/mutt/nano to receive mail, and I am using mutt/nano/postifx to send email.
User name is 'b'.
Hostname is 'cpq24'
Domain is 'optonline.net'
My IP: 67.83.146.55
I sent a test email to 'zordan3000@yahoo.com"
Any ideas? Notice the From line is completely blank.
Here is what I received at yahoo.com:
X-Apparently-To: zordan3000@yahoo.com via 216.136.226.62; 06 Apr 2003 20:43:32 -0700 (PDT)

I have mine set in my .muttrc file like this:
Code: | my_hdr From: Aly Merchant <merchanta@acm.org> |
Just to note, I don't use procmail or postfix so maybe they do some messing around with your header, IIRC mutt used to generate a From header before I put that line in there. |
