I can't seem to find a reasonable rss reader that runs in the console?
I'm emerging XML-RSS-Parser, which seems to be a perl script... that's all I found...
is there a clean simple curses-based atom/rss reader? or a plugin for mutt, elinks, slrn or the other suspects? _________________ parallel installation : mercedes with parachute |

That is actually pretty close to what I want.
Only less is not very good at parsing xml.
It would be cool to have a very primitive xml pager, which would just display the tags in hierarchic form, assign different colors to the content of tags and make them foldable.
sadly, none of the text-mode browsers are xml-ready.
bad thing about snownews: It has no autorefresh, and I have no idea how to run its update function via cron.
I tried snownews -u &> /dev/null && killall snownews, but it didn't work.
snownews is probably the most painless variant, though. _________________ parallel installation : mercedes with parachute |
