I am using a Matrox G200 card. The kernel update from 2.6.15-r1 to 2.6.16-r3 broke the DRI on my machine. Kernel 2.6.16-r6 is also effected. My xorg is the most recent stable version 6.8.2-r7. mga, drm and agpgart are compiled as modules and all load when the x11 server is started I can't see an obvious error in the X11 logs, but they do state that direct rendering is disabled. I'll happily post the log if anyone is interested. There seems to have been some problems recently with nvidia dri compilations, is this related?

This also effects the 2.6.16.-r7 kernel release.
I'm also having some problems with my console frame buffer, on boot up the cursor appears several lines up from the command line. All typing appears on the command line but the cursor corrupts any text on the line it appears. This problem is resolved, oddly enouugh when you Ctrl-Atlto other terminals, or back to the original terminal from an other. I suspect these are connected, and are caused by the DRI upgrade that has gone into 2.6.16. Is anyone else experiancing this problem, or has a solution other than regressing the kernel version?
