i've a strange problem:
if i play a mpeg video or an mp3--file, then i get sound,
bot i can't hear anything when i try to play a wav or ogg-file.
and if i try to "test sound" in the kde control-center -> sound-system
the control-center crashes.
i guess that''s the arts-server, but what's wrong with it?
please help!
thanks |

kdemultimedia is emerged. if i try to emerge kdemultimedia-meta
ait gives me:
Code: |
emerge kde-base/kdemultimedia-meta
Calculating dependencies... done!
!!! Error: the =kde-base/kdemultimedia-3.5* package conflicts with another package;
!!! the two packages cannot be installed on the same system together.
!!! Please use 'emerge --pretend' to determine blockers.

what then gives back:
Code: |
emerge --pretend kde-base/kdemultimedia-arts
These are the packages that would be merged, in order:
