I've seen people mention they have had problems with NWN on amd64. Mostly sound related. And seen stuff about emul-linux-sdl, and then seen people say that with latest nvidia-kernel that we don't need all the emul packages to play games now. I'd just like some clarification.
I know I could use Cedega for this, but what's the point when NWN has a native linux client. This'll be the first linux game I play as I have the official CD boxed set (NWN,SoU,HoTU). _________________ WARNING: It is a violation of federal law to use me in a way inconsistent with my labelling. I have an nforce4 motherboard, and use the onboard sound with alsa, and NWN installed perfect with no problems. Just make sure you have the emul use flag, and emerge it, it should work. |
