|

I'm trying to install Banshee on my computer it said this:
Code: |
!!! Error: the <media-libs/faad2-2.0-r9 package conflicts with another package.
!!! both can't be installed on the same system together.
!!! Please use 'emerge --pretend' to determine blockers. |
So I did to --pretend and found the problem:
Code: | [blocks B ] <media-libs/faad2-2.0-r9 (is blocking media-libs/libmp4v2-1.4.1) |
What should I do this? |

Hi,
If I remember this one correctly, faad2 has an older internal copy of libmp4, so you unmerge it, emerge libmp4v2, then emerge faad2 again -- on the second merge it will use the more up-to-date code in libmp4v2 instead.
Normally, if you have a blocker, you just unmerge the blocking package and continue the emerge you started out with. |
