on a fresh install I have this error splashing up at boot up:
Code: | starting udevd...
udevd[73]: init_uevent_netlink_sock: bind failed: No such file or directory
udevd[73] main: uevent socket not available [!!] |
anyone help please?

The system still boots fine btw with eth0 etc, just wondering what it is _________________ Main:
Kernel: 5.4.38 amd64
RAM: 4GB
Lappy:
Macbook Pro 10.14.6

have the same, but because it makes no problem ive noticed so far, i didnt care because i am too lazy

Indeed, this suddenly occured on my box and after that it always fails wit hanything related to using dev.. in my case mounting /dev/hda1 because there's no such file or directory
edit: Hmm.. would seem both of my problems were kernel related.. The acutal problem in this thread is probably caused from netlink not being compiled in the kernel |

still no solution?
updated my xboxwebby today and it has this prob, latest udev and baselayout as of 11th jul _________________ Main:
Kernel: 5.4.38 amd64
