i noticed when logged in the configuration tool of my router
that it was displaying the hostname of the connected clients,
along with their ip and mac addresses.

does anybody know how to make in sort that the
hostname stay hidden to the wireless router (model DI-524) ?

I think this is a DHCP feature. If you setup your machine with a static IP, then you won't show up in the router's list.

We send hostnames by default, however you can stop it in conf.d/net

Code:
dhcp="nosendhost"
