Hi,
i try to install 2006 Gentoo, but during installation i cant get network connection.
i get only local area connection but cant reach the outside IPs.(cant ping to yahoo but local IP)
and if someone can inform me about lo (local loop back). i didnt see that before and i guess my problem caused by that.
i gave IP to lo than i can ping to local IPs.

thanks alot.

It looks like your routes aren't setup correctly
what's the output of netstat -r ?

the routes seem ok to me (if your router is on .1). HAve you tried to ping an outside ip directly, i.e. don't use a domain name. Could be because you have to fill in your resolv.conf
