Hallo an alle, hab das XGL mit dem HOWTO installiert, als Startscript verwende ich den Script der in der Howto stand. Meine Desktopumgebung ist xfce4.
Warum startet der "XGL" nicht wo kann das Problemm liegen?
hier ist das was der sckript zurückgibt:
BITTE HELFT MIR, bin schon seit 2 Tagen damit beschäftigt, und klapp immer noch nich  .
Nach dem der Skript ausgeführt wird, starten das XGL (glaube ich) aber das XFCE4 nicht. deswegen gehe ich aus dem X mit STRG + ALT + BACKSPACE raus.

Hallo,
hast du schonmal Google befragt, oder das Forum nach XGL durchsucht?
Ich persönlich kenne mich mit XGL nicht gut aus, jedoch empfehle ich dir kein XGL auf einem produktiven System.
D.h. ich würde mir erstmal etwas zum Spielen aussuchen.

ich will halt dass es läuft. zum thema hab ich nichts gefunden, also warum es bei mir nicht läuft. |

Kopier das startxgl script aus xgl-coffee mal nach /usr/local/bin und mach ein chmod a+x drauf. Danach kannst du versuchen, den Server mit

startxgl 0 xfce nvidia

zu starten. Nebenbei hab ich im script gelesen, dass die Option xfce ist und nicht xfce4. |

| Außerdem steht noch in dem Howto, dass viele Probleme mit display 0 hatten. Versuchs mal mit 1. |

| hab alles gemacht was du vorgeschlagen hast, zwar startet das XGL mit xfce aber da gibts kein WM , na halt ich die fenster nicht bewegen, denke dass es der gnome-window-decorator oder so nicht läuft oder ist das der compiz??? |

| Es scheint der gnome-windo-decorator zu sein. Welches Howto hast du denn benutzt? Link wäre nicht schlecht. |

Ich hatte zum Zeitpunkt, als ich diesen Fehler bekam, noch kein KDE, xfce oder sonstiges installiert. Nach jedem startx kam der nvidia Bildschirm, kurz der Cursor und das wars dann. Jedesmal die Fehlermeldung mit dem FreeFontPath. Nachdem ich dann in der rc.conf XSESSIONS="Xsession" entfernt hatte und auch mal xdm als Displaymanager entfernte, bekam ich endlich nach startx eine stabile grafische Grundansicht. Die Fehlermeldung war aber nach beenden der session trotzdem noch da. Ich bin da noch am probieren.
