Suddenly when I try to start ooffice2 I get an error:

/usr/lib32/openoffice/program/soffice.bin: error while loading shared libraries: libXcomp.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
|
Surely an erorr by me, but I don't seem to be able to find where libXcomp.so.1 belongs to... I only find libXcomposite.so.1 files. Has there been a change in those libraries?

Just did a quick search and these are the results...

So I'm gonna guess your openoffice is borked. Remerge it :p

Many thanks for your update, Chris. Of course I did re-emerge openoffice. As I'm on AMD64 I'm using openoffice-bin (which I guess has the
reference to libXcomp.so.1 built in)... So no luck. Any other ideas?

I was asking because I only have libXcomposite.so and no libXcomp.so's, maybe there has been a change in the relevant packages.... |

| Solved myself by unmerging nxserver-freenx. Dunno why. Thanks for your help! |
