due peer pressure i switched to utf8 and was therefore forced to use urxvt...
urxvt works however i miss features like transparency...
sb knows a utf8 compatible console with such features?

urxvt can do fake transparency as well as real transparency.
For fake transparency put a

URxvt*inheritPixmap: true
|
into your .Xressources.
If you have composite enabled you can have real transparency by starting urxvt with
in combination with setting
| Code: |
URxvt*background: rgba:dddd/dddd/dddd/dddd
|
in your .Xressources.

is it possible (anywise) to get it not fully transparent? (e.g. set it to 40% trans..)

Do you mean with fake transparency or with composite?
