Any recommendations for an FM Transmitter that works with a Gentoo laptop.
The machine has Cardbus slots, USB ports, and a headphone jack.
Need to minimize cables and hassle and draw power off computer.
A cardbus solution would be awesome but, I don't think they exist.
I'm dreaming of a Laptop running gentoo and xmms that is a mini radio station for around the house in the car, and while travelling.
THANKS! |

I know that you can buy FM Transmitters all over the play that will plug into a standard headphone jack, I have one for my MP3 player. Most of them are powered by batteries, car lighters, or a normal plug. The only problem you may have is the tranmission power is very low on them so I dont know how far it will go. The biggest pain I had with mine was while driving different singals would interfear so I would get most of my music but a little of something else, could of been because im right by NYC but who knows. |
