why i see some professional web site they use cgi to do login then redirect to php?

why not do login in php directly ?

i want to build the best security network for using paypal this service

how to start ? i heard DM zone and honey pot ? software firewall and hardware firewall
which one is better ? i want stable and low cost

using gentoo or SELinux ?

if i close all port only accept 80 , is it enough ?
firewall <--- port 80 -----> apache

is the default of apache already safe ?
