|
|
I've been having issues lately with Xine and other programs for DVD playback. I keep getting audio and a blue screen, which is weird cause xine worked just fine for the longest time. I've tried reinstalling, uninstalling and reinstalling, changing use flags, redoing all the codecs, even as far as removing every single thing and going one pack at a time. No go.
After I close xine and try again I get funky colors on any video playback from mpg or avi files. THis holds for all my programs to include mplayer totem and vlc. THey only way I've managed to get DVD playback is to have one instance of xine and either a second xine or an instance of another dvd player.
Whats going on here? _________________ [Owner/Operator: Dhampir Dreams]

Did you just start using transparency/translucency by any chance? |

AFAIK the blue screen produced by xine is because it's writing to a different video buffer from the one you're viewing. Try using X Shared Memory to test (by doing "xine -V xshm"). |
