Can't resolve the address of SOME sites when using "emerge"

It kinda annoyes me and i always have to ping that site in order to get my DNS to recognize it, and i have to do it like 10 times before it starts working again, i use dhcpcd if it is of any help, oh and yeah internet wotks great no prob. it's just that emerge thingy...
any ideas?

try another sync-address.

Might just be an ISDN situation, where the router first needs to establish contact with the provider.
