my bootup time has increased to 7 minutes since last 5 days.
i have 10 linux partitions and 5 windows fat partitions mounted
why every boot it says 731days has gone without checking for all linux partitions and checks all of them . the 731 days varies upto 49780 days.,including root partition
this problem has started only 3 days back and persists.
all partitions check clean at the end without any error
is fsck program has gone bad or db file has some problem?
what can be done to correct this problem?

man shutdown reads:

-f Skip fsck on reboot

this is no solution ofcource, but it can buy you some time until you work it out

except the root partition check we can skip the fsck .
mounting filesystem with errors if any will cause more trouble .
the solution has to be found. i can press ctrl+D to skip the fsck after it does the root
but its not good for system

yes its a new mother board. due to rain and lightning the display chip died in the old one.
also the clock time is set by ntpdate on every boot.
the repeating fsck only gives trouble.
unless it depends on mac address and ip address the system works ok.
the change of board has a different mac adress and now i have a temp ip address for some time

the net connection was intermittent and was repaired.
yes probably the ntpdate disable may solve this proglem.
now that time is set correct at reboot the repeatedly checking filesystem has stopped now.
lets try for some more startups then we can be sure its gone.
