Xorg && TTF Fonts [UNRESOLVED]

I've got Xorg installed, with KDE and having it using TTF fonts. I emerged freetype with -bindist (so it should be using BCI, not sure how to confirm that though). I've added my fonts dirs to xorg.conf.

For some reason certain fonts on a white background (for example a textarea inside mozilla-firefox-bin) appear with a blue hint to them. It's a hard on to explain, I do recall having this problem in windows once but cleartype tuning sorted it out.

If I can get a screenshot of this I'll post one later on.
