ok, I know there's thousands of threads on this forum about quake1 but I read so many...
my problem: I somehow got glquake.glx to work in fullscreen also, sound is ok and everything, but it seems that I don't have any control in game. All I can do is to press CTRL+C and stop game. No mouse, no keyboard working in game.
(fuhquake-glx refuses to start with message 'Broken "libjpeg.so" library - required function misssing')...
please help I would really like to play it again... |

since CTRL-C is quitting the game i suspect the application focus is still on the shell starting quake1. try toggling the cvar _windowed_mouse 1/0 either in your configuration file or on the game console. if you move the mouse top left you might be lucky and gain focus on the game and enter the command in the game's console.
the jpeg error is a different thing. i suppose some libz things are missing in the library itself which fuhquake i think expects. a workaround is to start fuhquake with -nolibjpeg or something similar. it prevents you from taking jpeg screnshots though and you have to use a different picture format. |

thx Tuna, fuhquake is working now with -nolibjpeg, that's all I need...
actually I already tried toggling _windowed_mouse with glquake.glx, but it never helped ... |
