xmms chokes on .pls

Hey all.

This is pretty random - I'm trying to listen to Groove Salad on SomaFM, and 99% of the time, xmms plays fine. Today, however, things are a bit different. I click on the playlist icon, xmms pops up, but it doesn't play - it just opens it's 'Play File' dialog and then it just sits there. I've disabled mpeg4, flac, and various other plugins except for mpeg1/2/3. WTF am I doing wrong here?

Just curious. I'm dying here! No music! ARGH!

Soma might be down - I've tried WBUR, Shoutcast, and WEEN Radio - all working fine. Something's up with Soma's links or the site could be down. BLAH!

xmms is kinda 'oldie'
i reccomend you to use other players
personally i use a client-server architecture of xmms2 although i don't know if it works with pls files...

Update for those interested - I've dumped my long beloved xmms in favor of vlc:
