Weird problem, kernel hangs at boot when I compile in support (using genkernel) for the intel SATA drivers:
Code:
Device Drivers  --->  SCSI device support  ---> SCSI low-level drivers  --->  Intel PIIX/ICH SATA support

However, when I don't have support for the intel drivers, then MD doesn't detect my raid partitions and I still can't boot (Lilo loads, but can't enter root directory)

Here's the output of lspci:
Code:

solved:

apparently after re-compiling your kernel through genkernel you have to run the following line or else gnetoo won't boot:
Quote:
/sbin/lilo -F
