Hallo Leute,
Bin beim Suchen im Forum zufällig über [URL=https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-426814-highlight-qtcopy.html]diesen[/URL Thread gestolpert. Wollt ich natürlich gleich antesten...
Da GCC-4.1.1 unmasked wurde hab ich dieses Update auch gleich mitgenommen.
Nun wollte ich (musste, wegen neuem USE-Flag kdehiddenvisibility) kdelibs (eigentlich alle KDE-Pakete...) neubauen.
Leider kommt es da jetz zu nem Fehler an dem ich nich vorbei komm...
Forum und Google haben da leider nix ausgespuckt :/

glibc ist auf 2.4-r3, nptl nptlonly (kanns daran liegen?).
Nach dem emerge gcc glibc hab ich emerge -e system gemacht. Da hat der auch gleich mal paar neue Sachen drauf gezogen.

Ich vermute da mal einen Tippfehler...hast Du mittels "gcc-config" den neuen Compiler auch aktiviert, ggf. auch mal hin und her geschaltet? Sind vom Upgrade vielleicht Reste der 4.x Vorgängerversion zurückgeblieben?

Ich hab mit gcc-config auf den neuen Compiler geschaltet.
Das war ein Upgrade von stable (3.x.x, weiß leider grad net...) direkt auf 4.1.1. Demnach können keine Reste eines 4.* da sein.
Ich schau mir mal an obs was bringt einfach hin und her zu switchen. Würd aber grad net wissen warum das was bringen soll...
Aber du meinst es liegt am GCC? und nicht am qt-copy?

ok, kleines Missverständnis: ich dachte Du würdest eine ältere 4.x Version updaten. Den 3-er endgültig in Rente zu schicken ist übrigens keine so gute Idee (lassen sich problemlos parallel installieren), da es immer mal wieder Pakete gibt, die sich mit dem 4-er (noch) nicht übersetzten lassen wollen, oder dann nicht richtig laufen. Das meinte ich dann auch mit dem umswitchen mittels gcc-config. Wenn Du mit einem älteren 4-er den neuen gemerged hättest, wäre dieser im Anschluss gleich deinstalliert worden. Portage setzt dann aber leider keinen neuen default compiler, so dass Du zunächst mal ein kaputtes Profil gehäbt hättest.
Aber vielleicht hilft's ja trotzdem. Ein "emerge --info" wäre für weitere Hilfe aber sicher auch nicht schlecht 
Hier mal meine Ausgabe, nxsty's gepatchte QT-Version läuft mit KDE 3.5.2 einwandfrei.

Sonst könnt ich auch gar keine Profile switchen...

ich hatte gestern den gleichen fehler mit dem gcc 4.1.1 beim neukompilieren von kde, wenn auch an einer anderen stelle. Leider kann ich nicht genau sagen, was es behoben hat, ich kann dir aber sagen was ich versucht habe:
als erstes hab ich mal fix_libtool_files.sh <alte gcc version> ausgeführt. dann diese reihenfolge der pakete:

Wollt dann gleich mal wieder ein ordentliches Theme einstellen, da crasht kcontrol!
Fehlermeldung aus der Konsole:

ja, bei mir hat es auch nicht gereicht nur kdelibs neu zu bauen kmail lief zb. auch nicht mehr
EDIT: ah da fällt mir ein, falls es mit programmen wie amarok probleme gibt (lief hier auch nicht mehr), am besten deren abhängigkeiten auch neu mergen (amarok kompilierte nur, wenn musicbrainz und tunepimp auch neu kompiliert waren)

Hast du dann auch das qt-copy-tweked-dingens laufen?
Oder bloß den GCC-Upgrade durchgemacht.
Würd mich nämlich schon interessieren, was ihr so spürt (mit den visibility-Sachen und den anderen Patches). |

| nein habe ich bisher nicht getestet. bisher habe ich kde nur einmal mit USE="kdehiddenvisibility" gebaut, konnte aber nicht feststellen, dass es schneller ist. |

Ich hab schon den Eindruck dass manche Sachen schneller starten.
Kurz getestet:
* (QT) Designer
* Liquid-Weather-Config-Dialog (PyQT, geht DEUTLICH schneller!)
Allerdings hat Designer bei mir immer noch nen echt dummen grafischen Bug (seit ich AMD64 verwende...)
Hier ein Screenshot.
Das Form-Fenster hab ich nur bissl verschoben -> üble Schlierenbildung, geht nur weg wenn ich es minimier und wieder herstelle.
In der Properties-Liste hab ich auch nur einmal runtergescrollt und wieder hoch. Da man diese Editoren nicht minimieren kann muss ich den ganzen Designer minimieren um den Fehler zu beheben.
Lustigerweise klappt es aber im KDevDesigner.
Auf x86-Installationen hatte ich dieses Problem bisher noch nie...
