After a failed attempt to get ndiswrapper to work, suddenly /etc/modules.autoload.d/net.etho fails, as does sshd during init. On top of that, init scrolls by an error message (so quickly I can't read it), that causes it to load all kinds of snd_* modules.

I don't know if "depmod -a" did this, or if "make && make modules_install && make install" (to the kernel, of course) did this. If it's a kernel issue, then I should be able to simply point grub to an older kernel. If it's a strictly module-based issue, I've no clue what to do. (though I have tried removing ndiswrapper and restarting net.etho, which didn't work)

I'll appreciate any help I can get. :)

hmm... does your kernel recognize your network card?

what do you get with ifconfig?

maybe during the ndiswrapper installation, your card configuration somehow got messed up?

just of of curiousity, why didn't you use "make && make modules_install"?

No. That's why I tried to use ndiswrapper.

Dunno. I'll try that in a minute.

Most likely.

Because I'm an idiot.

Just had to remove some stuff from the kernel config and recompile+reinstall.
