Hi,

I'm trying to connect my Acer laptop wirelessly to my router. I got this working with WEP but I want it to work with added security so I'm trying to get it to work with WPA-PSK.

So far I have emerged wpa_supplicant and tried to configure it quickly but with no success.

Here's my situation so far:

Results of "wpa_supplicant -c/etc/wpa_supplicant.conf -ieth1 -d"
Code:

Initializing interface 'eth1' conf '/etc/wpa_supplicant.conf' driver 'default' ctrl_interface 'N/A'

/etc/conf.d/net
Code:
# Wired network
config_eth0=( "dhcp" )
dhcpcd_eth0="-t 5"

# IPW3945 Wireless connection

wpa_timeout_eth1=10

Code:
ctrl_interface=/var/run/wpa_supplicant

        ssid="MySSID"
        proto=WPA

        #pairwise=CCMP TKIP
        #group=CCMP TKIP WEP104 WEP40
        psk="MyKey"
        priority=1
}

Probably some simple error somewhere. The wireless interface uses IPW3945 drivers and they work like a charm with that WEP connection.

Router has visible SSID and acts as a bridge so I get my IP from my ISP instead of router as ZyXEL isn't working too good as a router.

Any idea how to get this working?

Yep.

Simple solution, I rebooted the laptop and now this is working. Now going to do same to my slackware server machine.
