salut,
J'essai d'installer le framebuffer sur mon portable en suivant ce wiki http://gentoo-wiki.com/HOWTO_fbsplash
mais je n'ai pas de "periph fb0" donc je le créer avec cette commande :
| Code: | | mknod /dev/fb0 c 29 0 |
ensuite je reboot, j'ai un écran noir pendant un moment jusqu'au login manager...en fait je vérifie que j'ai tjrs ce périph fb0 mais il n'y est plus...

Pourquoi le fichier fb0 disparait au reboot ?
Mon kernel est bien configuré et j'ai une partition boot !!!!

Salut Boozo,
Merci , c'est bien cette variable que je dois passer à "yes".
Sinon , tu ferais pas fonctionner le framebuffer avec le driver radeonfb des fois ?

Salut à tous,
Bon , je n'arrive tjrs pas à faire fonctionner gensplash , j'ai un écran noir pendant qques secondes puis ensuite mon login manager (gdm) !
Qqu'un pourrait-il me donner une piste.

Une question stupide : tu n'utilises pas les pilotes fglrx pour ta carte ATI et Xorg ?
Sinon, je pense fortement que ces pilotes posent problème (c'est le cas avec nvidia)
Pourquoi n'utilises-tu pas vesafb ? (à moins qu'il ne fonctionne pas sous AMD64)
EDIT : en fait vesafb-tng ne fonctionne pas avec amd64, mais vesa marche... |

Salut ,
Je n'avais même pas l'option vesafb ds mon fichier de kernel-2.6.16-gentoo-r8 et dailleurs j'ai downloadé un kernel vanilla et cette option n'y figure pas non plus ce qui est bien étrange ! j'ai voulu tester avec genkernel et là comme par magie mon fichier de conf avait l'option vesafb donc je me suis servi de ce fichier pour recompiler mon kernel et installer le gensplash...tordu mais cela fonctionne...donc ne pas jetter les anciens fichiers de conf...
