actaully i want to create a samba share directory where any1 can use the files or write there , but when i chmod as root
only the directory permissions change but the files inside still have the earlier permissions , do i need to chaneg the permissions for each n every file? |

Did you forget -R option? And how do you look for your priveleges? Firstly check them on local computer. Samba has it's own priveleges control. So may be you should check your samba.conf (only if ls -l shows full priveleges on local disk). |
