Hello Gentoo folk,
although Gentoo has now been my main OS for about 2years, every once in a while I tend to wander and experiment 8) . After all, that is how I ended up switching from WinXP to Gentoo  . Anyway I've been experimenting with FreeBSD 6.1 for a couple of weeks now and I can see it certainly has some serious desktop potential. My question is: has figured out a way to run and configure the "fbsplash" app under FreeBSD???
If so can anyone point me towards a howto that explains it??? I think having a slick graphical console on *BSD would definitely add to it's appeal 8) ...

Here is described how to use splash screen in FreeBSD, not sure about fbsplash. But FreeBSD kernel got framebuffer VT support option.
