Heyh there...

since i posted this one in a solved thread no body answers...

so here once agaein.

I have a Dell Optiplex GX620 with an Ati-Board inside.
I emerged Blender as i did it at home (NVidia Card), but i can't use it, because
no overlays where shown.
Blender starts and i got no errors, but i can't do anything because no menu
or contextmenu or panel is shown.... i even can't quit... i have to kill it...

I use xorg 6.8.2-r7...
at first i thought, that there is some parameter for the ati-driver which is wrong or not set...
but after some time of trial and error i gave up.

I tried the newest ati-drivers (8.25.18) but that doesn't do th job...

May somebody got the same problem and a solution or got Blender running on any ati card and knows a solution...

Any help appreciated...

Greetings
DonMartio

Ok... figured it... or better... got it working now.

I did some changes to the xorg.conf.

I commented out the line
Option "EnablePrivateBackZ" "yes"

Added the line:
Option "RenderAccel" "True"

I don't know which one did the job, may i test it out if i find some time later.

So far so good

Greetings

Commenting out
Code:
Option "EnablePrivateBackZ" "yes"

AMD64 , ati-drivers-8.33.6-r1, xorg-server-1.1.1-r4, xorg-x11-7.1

blender-2.42a-r1

Commenting "EnablePrivateBackZ" "yes" fixed mine also.
