I have a running multimedia PC with mythtv using Gentoo. I am very scared of doing anything new
on it for I really don't want to start from the scratch. However, I have this minor problem that I need
to shutdown and startup the machine manually. I could try to make it wake-up on BIOS, however
the start-up is not always 100% succesful (module load up fails at times) so I couldn't depend on it.
I am toying with the idea of installing suspend-sources and starting with them. Can I take old .config from
my 2.6.15 kernel (or which one is the latest vanilla-source in portage) or would it be better to search
correct suspend2 for my kernel and install it?
Am I able to combine hibernate with mythtv so that I can hibernate the computer and it will wake up
at given time for recording and then afterwards hibernate again? |
