hello

Im looking at the minimal install cd guide (I think) starting at

http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/handbook/handbook-x86.xml?full=1#book_part1_chap2

and its confusing. Why are they talking about creating users before parititions? Is there a concise but thorough guide out there?

[edit]

never mind. am dumb.

I actually find the handbook extremely straight forward and helpful.

creating user accounts on the livecd is optional, when you're trying to get someone to ssh into your system to help you out with the installation.

you can just start from the partitioning part (fdisk).
