|
|
Hello All,
I've started to install Gentoo on Apple Powerbook Titanium 400 MHz.
I've started sshd, and went home.
After a day, I've tried to connect to this machine via ssh but got "no connection".
Come back to the office and saw that Powerbook is in powersave mode with disk diconnected.
I really don't need this powersave feature and would like to know how to disable it.
Any help? |

Look in your /etc/pbbuttonsd.conf file, you should find what you need to adjust
Code: | # Configuration file for PBButtonsd >= Version 0.5
# for complete list of options please see pbbuttonsd.conf man-page
# [SYSTEM]
#userallowed = "paranoid" ; user who is allowed to use IPC
autorescan = yes ; automatic rescan of event devices
CmdTimeout = 8
# [MODULE POWERSAVE]
onAC_policy = performance ; nochange, performance, custom or powersave
onAC_TimerAction = suspend-to-ram ; none, suspend-to-ram, suspend-to-disk, blankscreen
onAC_CoverAction = suspend-to-ram
onAC_KeyAction = suspend-to-ram ; SleepKey
onAC_SuspendTime = 4000 ; time in 1/10 seconds
onAC_DimTime = 700 ; time in 1/10 seconds

Hi,
After a period (couple of minutes) of keyboard inactivity, my LCD screen goes black.
I don't want this behavior, so I looked at /etc/pbbuttonsd.conf but didn't find any option to disable this behavior there.
Could anyone tell me how to disable this "screen goes black" behavior? |

setterm -blank 0 in the console you don't want to blank. In X, you can use the xset tool: xset s noblank instead. _________________ Gentoo PPC FAQ: http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/gentoo-ppc-faq.xml |
