KPDF does not open PDF files [SOLVED]

Some time ago, maybe after updating KDE to 3.5.1, KPDF stopped working. Today I have seen that there is a new mimetype called application/x-kdeuser1 which has the *.pdf files associated with KPDF. Removing this mimetype from the Kcontrol file association dialog solved the problem for me.
