I'm using KDE 3.5 with hal, dbus and ivman (KDE emerged with hal dbus USE Flags). I'm trying to autoplay a video dvd when inserted. But it wont work, I even dont get the Popup Window "What do you want to do?" which I get when using a memory stick.
Kernel Log says the following, when inserting the dvd:
Code: |
Jun 5 13:34:41 helmsklamm cdrom: This disc doesn't have any tracks I recognize!
Jun 5 13:34:41 helmsklamm ivman: New Device: /org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/volume_empty_dvd_rom
Jun 5 13:34:41 helmsklamm ivman: UDI /org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/volume_empty_dvd_rom is device /dev/hdc
Jun 5 13:34:41 helmsklamm ivman: Device /dev/hdc can't be mounted because it is a disc with no data tracks

If I choose "Play DVD" at kaffeine the DVD starts playing and it works...
Maybe this problem is related to my digicam problem (see other thread)? How do I autoplay a DVD?
Audio CDs are working as expected (Kaffeine opens and plays it) |
