Hi everyone.
On this about ebuilds it says Quote: | This tells Portage that to build foo-x.y.z, the packages virtual/libc (more on virtuals in a bit) and sys-libs/zlib are needed. It does not say anything about which version of glibc or zlib that are needed, which means "anything goes". | But virtuals are not mentioned anywhere afterwards (or I missed it). I think the explanation is missing.

ps. Can someone tell me what virtuals actually do? _________________ Even a fool is thought wise if he keeps silent, and discerning if he holds his tongue.
