Hi,
I just found out, that my system freezes after logout totally with a certain user, so i could not use ctrl-alt-backspace or switch to console. I looked for the rason and finally it seems to have to do with arts configured to run in realtime mode. How can this happen? Is this a well known problem? Whe has a normel user the privileges to crash my system by clicking the realtime button in the config of the sound system? I thought I normal user should not be able to do this, is there a way to avoid this?
This happenes with kde 3.4.3. and 3.5.2

Yes, I have the same problem here! When I enable the realtime mode, system crashes after user logout. I hope there is any solution besides disabling realtime mode.

I am wondering that this happenes even when artsd and artswrapper do not have set the suid - bit
