|
|
Hey now.
Im currently using a prism2-card with HostAP and it works well but if possible i would like to switch to another Chipset*.
Now the Question is which other chipsets would work_with/support HostAP, is anybody using HostAP with a different Chipset??
*The reason i want to switch is my tiny laptop, it has 1 pcmcia-slot thats used for the WAN connection and one mini-pci slot that has the prism2-card. There is not much room for the minipci-card though and my prism-card as well as all the others i've seen is bigger than other cards and i am forced to cut off a piece and therefore lose the 2nd antenna-connector. To increase the Range of the WLAN i would like to have 2 Antennas though and now im considering to get a different Card/Chipset and need to check if HostAP would work on that.
Regards,
Sascha |

How did you setup and config hostap driver in your laptop ?
Hostap module loads fine in my laptop but wlan0 doesn't appear. |
