|
|
I need to take the chrooted directory of compiled for arm and turn it into an image that can be emulated in qemu. All documentaton I find starts with an ISO, but I am starting with a directory tree.
I have created an image, fdisked it and dd't the tree into it. I have installed grub and set the config, but all i get is a blank screen saying booting from HD and 100% CPU.
I let it run for an hour to make sure it wasn't me giving up to soon.
The test kernel is fine, so it is my image. _________________ ghidra: 2.6.18-gentoo-r3 x86_64 AMD64 with xfce4 across 2 monitors; reiserfs on LVM2

I just realized as I lay in bed that I am typing qemu on an ARM elf file. I need to run qemu-arm to be able to emulate the arm instruction set.
Is grub-install a total x86 only thing? _________________ ghidra: 2.6.18-gentoo-r3 x86_64 AMD64 with xfce4 across 2 monitors; reiserfs on LVM2
