Hi all,

I am trying to emerge linuxwacom but compilation fails:

In file included from /usr/include/unistd.h:8,
from /usr/include/xorg/xisb.h:32,
from xf86Wacom.h:77,
from xf86Wacom.c:100:
/usr/include/gentoo-multilib/amd64/unistd.h:418: error: conflicting types for 'xf86usleep'
/usr/include/xorg/xf86_ansic.h:345: error: previous declaration of 'xf86usleep' was here
In file included from /usr/include/unistd.h:8,
from /usr/include/xorg/xisb.h:32,
from xf86Wacom.h:77,
from xf86Wacom.c:100:
/usr/include/gentoo-multilib/amd64/unistd.h:935:29: error: macro "getpagesize" passed 1 arguments, but takes just 0
make[3]: *** [xf86Wacom.o] Error 1

I am using gentoo AMD64 and accept ~amd64 keyword, and my system is synced and updated daily.
My apologies if I missed the remedy when searching the forums and thanks in advance.

I have the same problem.

I "upgraded" xorg & hosed my entire system. <sigh> So I decided to rebuild my entire gentoo setup from scratch. Now I can't get past this bloody program. I'm stuck with no x-window system at all.

I don't have a tablet. Anybody know of a way to prevent emerge from wanting to build linuxwacom?

I get some similar errors (conflicting types for xf86ssize_t, xf86read, xf86write, xf86usleep and previous definitions of all of these) like the getpagesize macro passed 1 argument which all seem to be from unistd.h. I'm running ~x86 and trying to install xfce4...

Using amd64 myself and having the same problems with this very smooth upgrade to moduler x. (now wipe the sarcasam off the screen).

To get around this problem do this.
Code:

cd /lib/lib64
mkdir Server
cd Server
ln -s /usr/include/xorg include

continue the emerge
Code:

cd /lib/lib64
rm -r Server/

Now to continue on with my compile...

No, its not just AMD64 users. I have a 32 (wish I did have a 64). I got the same error on this. My cheap and dirty solution was to issue a startx on the console, note the drivers that x was actually looking for and emerged those only. I will add others as I need them, I guess.[post=][/post]

Well, same problem here, using amd64. 'emerge --resume --skipfirst' got me going with the system upgrade tough.

Thanks Jugio! I wasn't aware of that emerge option. Should get me around other multi-package emerge annoyances in the future. Guess I need to delve further into Portage.
