Hi All,
I get the following error when compiling evince (trying to do an emerge -DN world ) and am using the new gcc 4.1
compiler, but the problem exists with the older gcc 3.4 compiler as well, so not convinced it is a compiler issue.
The error is:
Code: |
/usr/lib/libpoppler-glib.so: undefined reference to `g_intern_static_string'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[3]: *** [evince] Error 1
make[3]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/evince-0.5.1/work/evince-0.5.1/shel

!!! ERROR: app-text/evince-0.5.1 failed.

!!! If you need support, post the topmost build error, NOT this status message.

I have tried recompiling poppler and glib as I am not sure where libpoppler-glib.so belongs to ..
anyone?

I'd suggest you give re-emerging app-text/poppler-bindings a try. :-) |
